Il nuovo album PIECES OF TREASURE, in uscita dal 28 aprile 2023, è una reunion con Russ Titelman, amico di una vita e acclamato coproduttore dell’omonimo album di debutto del 1980 (vincitore di un Grammy) e del seminale “Pirates”. In una carriera che dura da più di quattro decenni, la Jones ha interpretato una gamma straordinariamente ampia di canzoni, spesso raccolte in uno stesso album: showtunes, blues, folk, rock. Nel 1989, con “Autumn Leaves” dall’album “Duets” di Rob Wasserman è nominata ai Grammy per la migliore performance vocale jazz; un anno dopo vince il suo secondo Grammy nella stessa categoria con “Makin’ Whoopee”, in duetto con Dr. John. Ha pubblicato celebri album di ispirazione jazz come “Girl at Her Volcano” e “Pop Pop”, ma fino ad oggi non aveva mai dedicato un intero album all’American SongbookGenre : FolkJazzPopR&BRock
