Notes : Splendiferous è una nuova compilation 2LP, curata personalmente da Carlos Santana, che mette in mostra gli highlights tratti dalla produzione musicale di Santana che va dal 2003 al 2019.Si concentra sul periodo troppo spesso sottovalutato ma creativamente fertile dopo l'inserimento di Santana nel 1998 nella Rock & Roll Hall of Fame e il massiccio successo dell'album Supernatural del 1999.
Sulla sua scia, Santana ha pubblicato una serie di registrazioni notevoli, tra cui Shaman del 2003, All That I Am del 2005 e Corazón del 2014, che stanno tra i migliori che Carlos, o la sua band, abbiano mai fatto.
Molte di queste canzoni e performance sono state trascurate al momento della loro pubblicazione e vengono presentate di nuovo su Splendiferous, come elementi musicali essenziali nel canone di Santana.
